Nialove ("the app") is published by Moonfire Private Limited, India ("Moonfire", "we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: your pregnancy and baby information stays on your phone. We do not run a server that receives it, and we do not ask you to create an account.
1. Information you enter stays on your device
The app stores the following on your phone only, in the app's private storage:
- your name, your due date, your baby's name and birth date;
- trackers (weight, kick counter, contraction timer), appointments, journal entries, milestones, growth and health notes;
- photos you add from your camera or photo library;
- your emergency contact (name and phone number) and app settings.
We cannot see this information, and we do not collect, sell or share it. There is no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting service in the app.
2. Permissions the app asks for
- Camera and photos: to take or choose pictures of your baby and your journey. Photos are copied into the app's own storage and are shared only when you choose to share a keepsake card.
- Notifications and exact alarms: to remind you of appointments at the time you choose. Reminders are created on your phone.
- Internet: used to show Google Maps inside the app, to check the current time for the free month of Premium, and to find out whether a newer version of the app is available (all in section 3).
- Vibration: used by the emergency alarm.
You can withdraw any permission at any time in your phone's settings.
3. Maps (Google) and the time check
When you open the map for an appointment, the app loads Google Maps in an in-app browser. The place or address you look up is sent to Google, and Google handles it under its own Privacy Policy. We do not receive it.
To keep the free month of Premium fair, the app asks our website (moonfiregroup.com) for the current time when you are online. This is an ordinary web request that sends no information about you or your pregnancy. Like any website, our web host may record the request, including your IP address, in its standard server logs. Nothing else in the app uses the internet to send your data.
App updates (Android). The app uses Google Play's in-app update service to find out whether a newer version is available and, if you agree, to download it. This is handled by Google Play on your phone under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We receive no information about you from it.
4. Emergency alarm and emergency contact
The emergency contact you save stays on your device. When you use the alarm's call button, the app opens your phone's dialer with that number filled in; you press call yourself. The app does not send messages or share your location.
5. Purchases
If you buy Premium, the payment is handled by Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iPhone). We do not see or store your card or payment details. The store tells the app whether Premium is active on your account.
6. Sharing and feedback you send us
- Share a keepsake card, journal PDF or photo: the app opens your phone's share sheet. What you send, and to whom, is your choice.
- Suggest changes / Recommend a feature: the app opens your email app with a draft to support@moonfiregroup.com. The draft can include the app version, your phone model and Android/iOS version, and a screenshot of the screen if you choose to attach one. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app. If you email us we receive your email address and what you write, and we use it only to reply and to improve the app.
7. Phone backup, and deleting your data
Because the data is on your phone, you are in control of it. You can delete individual entries inside the app, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the device.
Your phone may back up app data to your own Google account (Android's automatic backup) or iCloud, if you have switched that on in your phone's settings. That copy belongs to you and is handled by Google or Apple under their own policies; we cannot see it. It lets you get your journal and photos back on a new phone. You can turn it off in your phone's settings. Moonfire itself holds no copy, so we cannot recover your data for you.
8. Children
The app is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect information from children, and it collects no personal information from anyone.
9. Security
Your data is kept in the app's private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot normally read. To help keep the app's content and your private pages from being copied, the app may block screenshots and screen recording of its own screens. Keep your phone locked and updated to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, but since we do not collect your data there is no server of ours that could leak it.
10. Health information
Nialove is for general information only and is not medical advice. See our Terms of Use.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If a future version adds features that send data off your phone, this policy will be updated first.
