By downloading, installing, or using Vastu Compass (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms apply only to the Vastu Compass mobile application; how the App handles your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. What the App Is

Vastu Compass is an educational tool that estimates a Vastu Shastra alignment score for a property, using your phone’s compass sensor and information you enter. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

2. Not Professional Advice, No Consultations

The App does not provide structural, engineering, financial, medical, or legal advice, and nothing in it should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified Vastu consultant, licensed architect, or structural engineer. We do not provide, broker, or arrange any personal consultation — by phone, video, or in person — with any such professional, and neither the App nor anyone representing it will ever contact you, or ask you to contact anyone, offering such a service. 3. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, Moonfire Private Limited grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal or business use. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or use the App to build a competing product.

4. Your Account and Data

The App does not require a name, email, or password. It creates an anonymous identifier for your install to support the features described in the Privacy Policy (Pro entitlement, optional cloud backup, purchase verification). You are responsible for the accuracy of the property information you choose to enter.

5. Pro Purchases and Subscriptions

Vastu Compass Pro is offered as a one-time lifetime unlock or an auto-renewing monthly subscription, both processed by Google Play. Prices shown in the App are set by us and displayed to you by Google Play in your local currency; the price Google Play charges is the price that applies. The monthly subscription renews automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the Google Play Store, and access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Pro also removes ads from the App (see Section 8). Refunds are governed by Google Play’s own refund policy — we do not process payments or refunds directly. Deleting your account in the App does not cancel a subscription or issue a refund; manage those from the Google Play Store.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App’s backend systems; misrepresent Vastu Compass, its developer, or its team, including by claiming to offer consultations on our behalf; or use any automated means to extract data from the App at scale.

7. Optional Features

Some features — daily tips, location-based tip personalisation, notifications, the optional “why are you checking” question, rewarded ads, and invitations to leave a public review on Google Play — are entirely optional, off by default or clearly opt-in, and can be skipped or turned off at any time from Settings (or by dismissing the prompt). Declining any of them does not affect your ability to use the core compass analysis, multi-floor capture, saved reports, or PDF export.

Pro unlocks additional features (including advanced remedies, property comparison, cloud backup of saved reports, removal of ads, and a Pro-branded home-screen icon on Android). Pro does not change what personal data we collect beyond the purchase and optional backup records described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Advertising and Rewarded Ads

The free plan is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob; the Privacy Policy explains what that involves. Ads are third-party content: we do not endorse the advertisers or their products, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser.

Rewarded ads are optional. If you choose to watch one, you may open a Pro feature for the current session, or download one Advanced Report, without buying Pro. This is a courtesy that we may change, limit or withdraw at any time. It has no cash value, is not a Pro purchase, does not carry over to another device, and ends when the App is closed and reopened (a report you have downloaded is yours to keep). It depends on an ad being available, which we cannot guarantee.

Pro (lifetime or monthly) removes ads for as long as your Pro entitlement is active. You agree not to click ads, or encourage anyone else to click them, in order to generate revenue for us; not to use automated means to load or interact with ads; and not to interfere with ad delivery. Doing so may breach Google’s policies and lead to ads on the App being suspended.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, and underlying code (excluding open-source components licensed separately — see Settings → Open source licenses), is owned by Moonfire Private Limited and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Compass readings depend on your device’s sensor and surroundings and may be inaccurate. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any score, tip, or remedy will produce any particular real-world result.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moonfire Private Limited and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss, cost, or decision (including any construction, renovation, or property purchase decision) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Pro features if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, or if a purchase is refunded, charged back, or found fraudulent. You may stop using the App, and delete your account and all associated data, at any time from Settings → Delete account.

13. Language and Translations

The App, its reading content (guides, remedies and room-by-room explanations) and its PDF reports are available in English and ten Indian languages: Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu, which you can choose under Settings → Language.

Text in any language other than English is machine-translated. It may contain errors or inexact wording, and it has not yet been reviewed by native speakers. These Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the full in-app Disclaimer are shown in English whichever language you select.

Translations are provided for convenience only. In the event of any conflict, ambiguity, or difference in meaning between the English text and any translation — of the App’s content, of these Terms, of the Privacy Policy or of the Disclaimer — the English text prevails and is the legally binding text.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the App’s functionality changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected in an app update before the new functionality becomes active.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
