GrayTrivia Privacy Policy

GrayTrivia is a daily trivia game published by Moonfire Private Limited ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to get rid of it.

1. What we collect

If you play without signing in

Nothing leaves your phone. Your progress, streak, settings and downloaded questions are stored only in the app's own storage on your device. We receive none of it.

If you sign in with Google or Apple

Sign-in is handled by Google or Apple. We never see your password. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive the relay address Apple gives us.

If you report a question

Reporting works whether or not you are signed in. A report contains the question and season it refers to, the reason you selected, your app version and whether you are on Android or iOS. No account identifier, email address or device identifier is attached — a report is anonymous whether or not you are signed in.

2. What we do not collect

• No advertising identifiers and no ad-network tracking.
• No analytics or behavioural profiling.
• No location data.
• No contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files.
• No payment card details — any purchase is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and we never receive your card information.

3. Where it is stored

Account and play data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, part of Google Firebase, and is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS). Google processes this data on our behalf as our service provider; their handling is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security terms.

4. Who can see your data

Your display name and your score are visible to other players on the standings board. That is the only thing anyone else sees. Your email address and your answer history are not public.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and play data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed from our database. Question reports are never linked to your account, and are kept for as long as the question exists.

6. Deleting your data

You can also email support@moonfiregroup.com and we will delete it for you. Signing out on its own does not delete anything — it only removes the account from that device.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it erased. Email support@moonfiregroup.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

GrayTrivia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
